Once again, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has denounced Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, urging for the prompt removal of Moscow’s troops and the cessation of hostilities.

It has been one year since President Vladimir Putin gave the order for the invasion, which he referred to as a “special military operation”. In a recent vote, 141 countries expressed support for the resolution that advocates for a “comprehensive, just and lasting peace” in Ukraine. Thirty-two countries abstained from voting, while seven countries, including Russia, voted against the resolution.
